Is there a long-term contract?
Monthly plans cancel any time. Annual plans run for a year — and we email you ahead of renewal, no silent auto-rebill.
What does the payment fee cover?
The all-in 2.4% + 20p (capped at £11, excludes VAT) bundles GoCardless's own bank Direct Debit processing with Petboard's platform share. It pays for keeping the payments side reliable — handling failed collections, refunds, and the occasional dispute — and for the engineering work that makes sure invoices, deposits and payouts stay clean for your accountant.
How long are shared photos and videos kept?
They're kept for 90 days, then automatically cleared — partly to respect owners' privacy, partly to keep things tidy. There's no storage meter and no overage charge: fair use applies, and we'll only ever get in touch if something's wildly out of the ordinary.
Can I switch tiers later?
Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately — we prorate the difference. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period.
Where is my data stored?
EU data centres only. We partner with EU-based subprocessors for everything that handles personal data. UK GDPR / EU GDPR-native by default.
Do I need a GoCardless account?
Only for Pro (the tier that takes online bank payments). Setup is part of onboarding and takes about 10 minutes — your business identity, bank details, and you're done.
